First floor - First room: The Council
The second panel presents two numbers of "L'Osservatore Romano", the newspaper of the Holy See: the first of 8 December 1965: Paul VI concludes the XXI Ecumenical Council.The second of 9-10 December 1965: The Council has ended. In the center are displayed a bronze bell donated by Paul VI to all the council observers and the episcopal ring donated by Paul VI to the council fathers (works by the sculptor Enrico Manfrini). In the next row we find photographs depicting moments of the closing of the Council.
